UH plans to add two degrees, cut one – Bizjournals.com(E-Business)

Louis San Antonio San Francisco San Jose Seattle South Florida Tampa Bay Washington, D. The Academy for Creative Media at UH Manoa is seeking approval to add a bachelor’s degree in creative media to replace the generic interdisciplinary studies degree its students have earned since 2004. Maui Community College wants to add a four-year degree in engineering technology, which would become the second bachelor’s degree offered at the campus. The degree, which would be offered in fall 2010, was designed to meet workforce needs for Maui county. Meanwhile, Kapiolani Community College plans to terminate its two-year eBusiness degree, citing an inability to keep up with the changing industry. Parts of the program, which was launched three years ago, have been tied into the campus’s marketing degree program. read more
