Oracle maps out multi-prong strategy at OpenWorld 2008 At Oracle OpenWorld, the company lifted the lid on the new version of its eBusiness Suite, which includes better functionality in human resources, financials and data management. The enhancements to eBusiness Suite include pre-built dashboards and robust scenario modelling in Oracle Advanced Planning Command Centre, a module designed to provide supply chain executives with the real-time business insight needed to make better supply chain decisions while the Oracle Demand Signal Repository captures, cleanses and harmonises large volumes of external demand data to give users insight to consumer and supply chain behaviour. Oracle Insurance will market separate solutions – such as the AdminServer policy administration platform – as well as suites of pre-configured solutions – so called “insurance-in-a-box” packages. Oracle gains insurance assets, such as the InsBridge rating engine, and a suite of solutions for document management that will augment those already owned by Oracle and that, aimed at insurers, can also be leveraged in other industries. read more
