Article Writing: Writing Creatively

The
most common problem faced by the people while writing an article is the
lack of ideas. Most of the people just run out of the ideas while they
begin to write. Is coming up with unmarked ideas such a difficult task?

The answer is actually no. If you take a look at your past
experiences, skill sets, successes and failures, expertise in an area,
you will find an ocean of fresh ideas waving around you. The point here
is that your every experience is bound to serve you with many new ideas
and words.

In order to generate ideas from you own life, you can follow these useful tips for this:

Select
A Subject: Analyze and choose a general subject from your daily
routine. This subject may vary from cooking a meal to driving a car.
This will help you to improve your writing ideas, as the topic of the
article will come directly from your everyday life.

List out the
Items: Include a list of various useful items that are the part of your
subject. For instance, if you are planning to write on your first
driving experience, you may include the various aspects like your
excitement, nervousness, the vehicle, road, traffic, signals, road
signs and so on.

Focus on the Crucial Aspect: Bring your focus
on the most crucial item of the above made list. Try to write a
detailed description for that particular item. Keep in mind to make the
description small but informative at the same time. This may include
the bodily aspects, emotional expressions that strike your mind. Lets
take an example. If you want to concentrate on the road signs, you may
include the significance of each sign and the place where it is found.

Make
Categories of your Description: You can make categories for the
different descriptive reports. For instance you can put together the
description of the vehicle in one section and the description of the
traffic in other part

Arrange the Categories: If the length of the article is short, then you can focus on any one particular category.

However,
if the article is supposed to be long, then you should make the
different categories appear in a systematic way in your article. For
making the article long, you can decide on writing about the
precautions you need to take on the road while driving the car. You may
write about the traffic rules to be followed on the road and also about
the safety measures to avoid any kind of accident.

The art of
stuffing your article with fresh new ideas could be tamed with practice
and it could not be achieved overnight. Once you start doing practice
by following the above guidelines, you will see that the fresh words
are taking birth in your mind and this will affect your writing speed
in a positive manner. Finally, the day would come when you won’t have
to look for ideas here and there.

Building Traffic & Sales Through Article Marketing

May 10, 2009

by Mark Alison

Almost every marketer talks about article marketing these days. It has become a chief strategy for Internet. Due in part to the popularity of the “bum marketing” method, article marketing has two significant characteristics: it works, and it’s free.

There are two important benefits for Internet marketers. First, it generates valuble IBL’s, or Inbound Links. Secondly, it provides greater exposure for the marketer and their website.

Article marketing is a numbers game, just like the other bum marketing techniques. Consistent and ongoing efforts are required for it to be effective. Submitting an occasional article may not have much impact, but ten articles in ten days provides an overall benefit greater than the sum of its parts.

Maximizing your article submission strategy means targeting a single keyword or phrase, one per article. It’s equally important to optimize each article, similar to each page in a website. In fact, each article acts as a one-page mini site.

You optimize an article for the search engines the same way you would for a web page. Put your keyword or phrase in the article title, as the beginning of the first paragraph, the beginning of the last paragraph, and for the anchor text in your link or resource box.

By following a few simple steps, you will gain maximum return for your effort. As part of a multipronged approach, article marketing becomes an extremely effective and inexpensive technique in your arsenal.

Can You Create A “Buyers Only” List?

February 17, 2009

by Boritch Y. Genovich

Content is the royalty of establishing credibility, gaining trust and producing sales. It is KING, gets to wear the crown, sit on the throne, and rule the world. While it is still a good idea to send high quality content to your subscriber list, there is a much more lucrative list made up of customers who have no concern about content.

“What is this type of list?” you ask. – The “announcement list”. I’ve been teaching about the “announcement” list since at least 2002 (on record at an event). And, yet, it’s a widely untapped asset in most email marketing circles. The main reason is: nobody’s teaching it. And so, nobody knows anything about it, let alone how to effectively create one of these lists. So, we’re going to revisit it.

——————————————————-

What Is An “Announcement” List?

——————————————————-

DEFINED: An announcement list is a list whose sole purpose is to “announce” (I.E. Inform, notify) when something new is available for review, consumption or purchase. In other words, it unapologetically says, “Hey, I just released XYZ. Come check it out!” Now, at first glance you may be thinking, “Who would join a list that offers no content and only sales pitch?” If you say it that way, it doesn’t sound too good to me either! That’s why you don’t say it that way. Let’s take a look at HOW to “say it”…

——————————————————-

How About An Example “Announcement” List?

——————————————————-

When you visit my site you will see a classic example of what I’m talking about. PLRSO is shorthand for Private Label Rights Special Offers. The list was developed only to inform people whenever I have new PLR offers available for them to buy

That’s it. I don’t send out ezine articles to them. No newsletters. They don’t get blog posts. There aren’t any special reports. No content of any kind. What they get, in essence, are sales messages. And there are already 2,822 subscribers, many of which have already purchased some of the PLR special offers that have been “announced” to the list.

Why does it work? Let me give you plenty of reasons…

1. I used an ‘in-demand” product and allow my subscribers to start ahead of others by knowing about the new release before it is available to the rest of the world by joining the list.

2. It’s not billed as an “announcement list”, but rather a “Free PLR Club”. Big, big difference in perception.

3. I get it a domain which further adds to the importance and value.

4. There is no requirement to buy once you join. Buy the offers that you want, pass on the ones you don’t want.

5. An example of cost is provided with what you can purchase presently. This further shows the “value” of the complementary membership.

The idea of creating the “announcement list” becomes a complete no-brainer when you throw in the following twist. My affiliates get to “give away” free memberships to the PLRSO club. Then when a referral buys an offer, they get a check. I get a lot of other people promoting and building my list for me and we all win.

Right now the wheels are churning, er turning…

——————————————————-

What Kind Of “Announcement” List can I Build?

——————————————————-

There are a wide variety of “announcement” lists that you can build. Let’s briefly look at nine of them…

* PLR List. Swipe my idea, create yoru own list of private label rights buyers.

* New Offers List. When you have a loyal following there will be people who love what you produce and want to be notified any time you have a new product coming out.

* Pre-Launch List. Create buzz and anticipation for an upcoming new product release by building a pre-launch list several weeks (even months) in advance.

* Ezine Publishers List. A list of publishers wanting any new ezine article you have that is available for them to reprint in their ezines.

* Bloggers List. Another idea is to allow bloggers who are looking for ready-made content to post to their blogs.

* Industry News List. Become the “go to” guru who is on top of breaking news about your industry.

* Joint Venture List. Everyone needs a list of partners and affiliates ready to promote your new offer anytime you have one.

* Incentives List. Here’s a great idea – create a list of people who you offer “incentives” to when they purchase someone else’s new product through YOUR affiliate link.

* Freebie List. Give away rebrandable content (articles, reports, videos, etc.) to the subscribers of this list to earn commissions.

These nine types of lists won’t immediately be buyers from the get go, but the subscribers can become buyers and generate revenue if implemented. While content may be king, there are still a lot of princes, dukes and earls out there too.

The Basics Of Mailing Lists And How To Profit From Them

February 17, 2009

by Chris Channing

A consumer mailing list has many uses for business operations- but mainly as a means of finding new sources of income through new clients. They are tricky to handle as well, as the laws of different countries dictate what a business can and can’t do with consumer data. Thus, becoming educated on them is a goal to strive towards.

The average consumer mailing list is going to be categorized according to different variables. This usually depends on what they are being used for. A political mailing list, for instance, will likely have the name and contact details of journalists and news retailers throughout the campaign area. Likewise a debt help business will want a list of consumers currently under debt constraints with poor outlook in financial stability.

An opt-in mailing list is always more valuable than the contrary. When we use the term “opt-in,” we are saying that the email address had been verified through different means. This is important for only focusing on clients that are real and still contactable, which can prove to be quite the time-saver. Lists composed of opt-in subscribers are also usually safer on the legal side, given that the privacy policy states what is going to be done with the signup information.

The subject of the data is also important for targeting on a specific niche of clients. A marketing expert wouldn’t want to send credit repair information to a financial adviser, for instance, since it is likely that they already have their finances under control. Instead of banking on chance, the smart marketer will target their search. In this case, they would look for a database full of credit repair leads.

The subject of legality comes into play with mailing lists when they are bought and sold. If a list is being bought, it is extremely dire to know how the list was obtained and under what conditions. Some countries will abide by the rule that if consumer data is bought and sold without a privacy policy explaining the issue, legal trouble could indeed arise. Even riskier is the fact that the buyer may be working with phone numbers on a “do not call” registry- which will result in heavy fines if the marketer isn’t careful.

The Internet is teeming with different lists, both new and old. A marketer’s best bet would be to find the most updated list from the most respected resources. Just like with most services and products, sometimes the best recommendations will come from a coworker, friend, or family member. If all leads seem dry, try calling several resources and inquiring about their lists in question. Ask to see a sample of the database for confirmation of its prestige.

In Conclusion

Buying a consumer mailing list is no light decision. Considering the price and many variables present, there’s much to consider before signing over the funds for a database. Take a look around at what different services have to offer, ask to see some of their previous works, and above all else spend the time to make a wise purchase.

Become a Leader thanks to Article Marketing

February 17, 2009

by Rupper Oconnor Bob James Danilken Suarez Jimmy Acosta Evan Acosta

We all want to be the best in internet marketing, and if you really want to be a good internet marketer, you need to understand the relevance of Article Marketing.

Many people keep talking about the relevance of article marketing, but it seems that not a lot of people understand how to use it, and how to take the best advantage of such an amazing tool.

This is why I decided to provide with some very easy steps and tips you need to consider

a) Use short paragraphs. When the paragraph are very long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader just considering it It can get quite confusing and too much of a hard work to read. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move on to much easier reading articles that are good to look at as well as read. Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!

b) capitalize on numbers or bullets. As each point is stressed out, numbers and bullets can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point, tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, readers will know that this is where the tips start and getting stressed. Format you bullets and numbers with indentations so that your4 article wont look like a single block of square paragraphs. Add a little bit of flair and pizzazz to your articles shape.

c) Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this will break each point into sections but still would be incorporated into one whole article. It would also be easy for the reader to march on from one point to another; the transition would be smooth and easy. You’ll never lose your readers attention as well as the point and direction to where the article is pointing.

d) Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a persons curiosity youre already halfway in getting a person to read your article. Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are anticipating. Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content but should also be short and concise.

Use titles like, Tips on making her want you more, or How to make her swoon and blush .You could also use titles that can command people, for example, Make her yours in five easy Ways. These types of titles extend to a persons emotions and makes them interested.

e) Keep them interested from the start to the finish. From your opening paragraph, use real world situations that can be adopted by the reader. Use good descriptions and metaphors to drive in your point, just dont over do it. Driving your examples with graphic metaphors and similes would make it easy for them to imagine what you are talking about. Making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.

f) Utilize figures when necessary and not just ordinary and insipid statements. Using specific facts and figures can heighten your article because it makes it authoritative. But don’t make it too formal, it should be light and easy in them and flow. Like a friendly instructor having a brief chitchat with an eager student.

I’m pretty sure, if you use this tips your article marketing strategy will be easier and you will be able to realize how effective this type of actions can be for your website.

Internet Marketers – Are You Doing The Right Thing?

February 16, 2009

by Damian Papworth

My internet passion started back in 2003. A little eBook set me on the road, it was Google Cash by Chris Carpenter. I set up a few campaigns in a relatively competition free Australia and started making money directly promoting affiliate programs.

I watched as more and more people entered the market though, forcing click bids up. I watched while Google changed their rules, time and time again making it harder for affiliates to make money with pay per click. I watched and worked up to the point where the time involved in managing pay per click campaigns as an affiliate, was no longer worth the commissions the campaigns earned.

So I left the “Google Cash” method of internet marketing and started putting websites together, focussing on content and search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques. I basically learned everything there is to know. That which I learned, I applied to my websites and watched them succeed. Today I still run half a dozen of my own websites. One promotes my own product in the tourism industry, the others either sell affiliate based products or advertising space. All are successful in their own right.

As my skill grew, so did my reputation. The result of this was a continual stream of business owners who, having heard of my expertise, wanted to hire me to sort out their web presence. These business owners all had two things in common. They all saw the potential the internet had for their business and they all had been taken advantage of by unscrupulous internet operators who took their money yet added no value. So I took them on and applied the same strategies to their websites that I applied to my own. Much to their delight, their websites now create business for them.

These clients of mine all had a pretty negative view of the internet industry when they came to me. Unfortunately they’d all been ripped off by one operator or another. That’s the problem with our industry though, its unregulated and we are all, by and large, self taught. There is no standard of quality, this lets the poorly skilled earn while their clients suffer.

Every week I see these operators at work. They operate on the assumption that they know more about the internet than their clients and therefore can create sales through misdirection. They promise the world, deliver very little and once paid move onto the next unsuspecting victim.

Gold Coast Surfboards is a great example to prove the point. This is my travel business. Its the only website I run to date which sells its own product, a long-term surfboard hire service. Do a Google search on Gold Coast Surfboard Hire. You can find me easily. Or even use the less specific search phrase Surfboard Hire. You’ll see how well this website is optimised in the search engines.

So I have a website which is supporting a business perfectly. Its optimised in the search engine for the search phrases which are popular and relevant to the service. Despite this, so called internet “professionals” contact me every week trying to sell me their SEO services.

I’ve worked out exactly what they do. They find my website and recognise it as a small business. They’ll do a few Google searches and see that I really am well optimised, so then they set about finding some search phrases that I am not optimised for. In their belief they know more than me, they then try to scare me into buying their optimisation services for the less relevant search phrases. Phrases such as “surf accessories” and “holiday rentals”.

This sort of thing really scares me. It makes me realise that there are people in my industry who manipulate our clients to make a quick buck. They are quite happy to modify a website to attract irrelevant traffic in order to make some money, with little care of the damage this does to the customer’s business. To embellish, if I had have listened to these hard selling conmen, my website would either be attracting lots of people who needed surfboard wax or fins, or in the Holiday Rentals case, people who are looking for hire cars or accommodation at goodness knows which destination. One thing is for certain, people visiting the Gold Coast would not be hiring my surfboards.

If you are under pressure from an internet salesman to sign up for their optimisation services, my advice is to first get a really good understanding from you clients, as to which search phrases they use on the internet when they are looking for your product. If the salesmen are trying to get you to optimise other phrases, don’t do business with them. At the very least they have not researched your market enough to work on your website. At its worse, they are just manipulating you in an attempt to wring some money out of you. Either way, it will damage your business.

If on the other hand you are not being hassled by these salesmen, yet understand the potential the internet has for your business but don’t know where to start, I recommend you start asking around your circle of friends. Try and find an operator that someone will recommend first hand. Just make it clear to them though you are looking for an internet marketer, not a designer. There are plenty of students or graphic artists out there who will be happy to take your cash and build you a masterpiece. It will be such a pity no-one will be able to find it.

And to all the shonky operators in our wonderful industry, please make an effort to bring some standard of ethics into your operation. You need to stop selling for the sake of sales and start selling to add real value. If you can add real value to a potential client’s business, great, please do so. Its so nice when businesses speak highly of the internet marketing industry. If you can’t add value to them though, leave them alone. They are better off without you.

Is Using Article Submission Sites Right For You?

February 16, 2009

by Preston J. Davis

Writing articles with unique content is a great way to get traffic to your site . Getting traffic with articles is called article marketing and using article submission sites will greatly increase the amount of traffic you receive.

Using good content in your articles will allow people to find what they are looking for. They will often times return the favor by visiting your site. The more informative your article the more traffic you will receive.

When you use article marketing the more content you have on the internet the higher amount of traffic you will receive. There are two ways to achieve this.

Manually writing and submitting your articles to hundreds of directories is the first way. This can be very time consuming and is why they have article submission sites.

The other way to get your content out there is by using an article submission site. This allows you to write one article, tweak it a bit, and have it sent out to hundreds of directories for you.

Keyword spinning is a common way to alter your articles. While it does leave you with semi unique content to send out it is by no means true unique content and you would be better off writing different articles and manually submitting them.

Many times articles redone by keywords spinning are choppy and have no flow to them. Plus they are only about 30% unique.

Not all articles submission sites use keyword spinning so if you’re going to use one you’d be better off with one that offers truly unique content with each article they submit . Not only will you get more traffic because they’re more smoothly written but they will rank better in search engines and provided you with quality back links.
