How to monetize a mini site?
February 11, 2010
Are you looking for ways to make money online? Have you seen people working from home and being able to support their families while working online? If you want to earn money online, you may want to know about mini sites? Mini sites are, as it is, mini websites that can earn money for you.
Now, how do you monetize a mini site or mini website?
For you to earn money with your mini site, you have to ensure that you can send targeted traffic to your mini site and promote your products to them.
Now, how do you send targeted traffic to your mini site?
First, your mini site has to be focused. Your mini site has to be focused on one particular niche. Better yet, your mini site has to be focused on one particular product.
If your mini site is focused on one particular product, then the product it features and the contents have to be in unison with the keyword. You will need to use your keyword in the title, sub-titles, within the body of the description and the products has to be using the main keyword.
This will ensure that when internet browsers search for your keyword, it can reach your mini site. You can make your mini site search engine optimized by using only one keyword or few key phrases relative to your keyword. When you do this, you can send targeted traffic to your mini site because it will rank high on popular search engines.
Second, you have to promote complimenting products. Affiliate your mini site with complimenting products. You do not have to do this manually; your keywords will help you feature the products that compliment your own product.
Third, to ensure that your mini site will earn money for you, then you have to promote your mini site. Post articles relative to your niche in article directories. You may also want to post comments on forums and have a back link into your mini site.
Creating your mini site need not be complicated. You will need only a few pages that are focused and keyword-rich.
Your color scheme needs to be professional, not fancy. Mini sites that are too colorful and is cluttered may not be taken seriously. Find a design and color scheme that is not loud.
Finally, you have to associate your mini site with reputable products. If you will promote your affiliate products in your mini site, they have to come from reputable market places like ClickBank, Amazon, EBay, etc.
Monetizing your mini site will not come overnight. You may need to have a conservative expectation for your mini site. The key here is not to depend on one mini site alone. Creating mini sites has become simple these past few years; learn how to create killer mini sites in multiples.
When you do this, you will surely earn money online with your mini sites.

Internet Marketing With Terry Dean
February 18, 2009
If you are familiar with internet marketing then you know that it changes frequently. New technical advances, ideas, and methods make it WAY more competitive than the average business. I would say about 1000X more!
Terry makes reference to different services that changed their names a couple of years back and that certainly points to material that at least, needs to be updated. But don’t get me wrong, he still offers some useful information, it just may not be as thorough as it could be.
Any internet marketer should be aware of of Terry Dean and his teachings. There are however, many other aspects of internet marketing that must be addressed to ensure success. If you can follow a simple, proven, step-by-step process put together by extremely successful internet marketers and combine them with some of Terry’s advice, you could quickly build a successful global internet business.
One weakness with Dean’s material is that by the time I read his Net Breakthroughs course it looked a few years old, at least three by my count, which on the internet, something as little as 2 years is equivalent to 10 years in the offline world.
So while his diary concept was great, it may be useless. The evidence I have that it could be a few years old is that it refers to Yahoo Search Marketing as Goto.com. Goto changed their name to Overture Services in 2001, and was bought out by Yahoo which then became Yahoo Search Marketing in 2005, so this is some seriously outdated information.
Even if this course appears antiquated, I still give Dean a thumbs up for his creative style and teaching ability. Terry Dean is a marketer we can really learn a lot from, especially if he would ever updated his material!
Seeing as how it is now 2009 and Terry Dean is still promoting “Net Breakthroughs” you can understand when I say that even though some of the stuff that he covers is good it is still outdated and there are more up to date programs available.
Even if this course appears antiquated, I still give Dean a thumbs up for his creative style and teaching ability. Terry Dean is a marketer we can really learn a lot from, especially if he would ever update his material!
6 Ways to Keep Your Network Marketing Downline Intact
February 16, 2009
How do I best go about making sure that the distributors I sponsor stay around and don’t drop out? This is a very good, very tough question that people have struggled with forever. You can take some positive steps as a leader to keep your new recruits from bailing right away.
Your goal as a leader is to get your new distributors to stick around as long as possible because the longer they stay, the bigger your check. The tricky part is how to do that. Here are 6 ways to ensure you’re doing your best.
1. Make sure you’re part of a good company. It’s crucial that you are involved with a company that you believe in, and that has great products. That way, your new distributor will at least want to keep using the products even if they haven’t started making money yet.
2. Sign them up with the most expensive option your company offers. Making sure they spend some money up front will make it harder for them to bail right away. My company has a startup package that costs about $1200. This package has basically all of the products my company offers, plus several sales tools and vouchers for events included. That way my new recruit can try everything that applies to him, and turn around and sell the stuff that doesn’t.
3. Help them to make some money right away. This is called monetizing their business and can be accomplished by getting them involved in affiliate marketing, which really goes hand-in-hand with network marketing. Affiliate marketing is simply advertising somebody elses products online and sending people to their website. Then, you get paid a commission without having to actually make the sale.
4. Get to know them. In order to develop loyalty and accountability, you need to have a personal relationship with the people you sign up. If you just enroll people automatically on the internet or some other way, you may be able to sign them up in bunches, but you’ll also lose them in bunches too because no one will know or care if they walk away. Network marketing requires personal contact, if you’re not comfortable with that, this isn’t the business for you.
5. Give them a plan. Train them. Let them know what to expect. Don’t oversell, don’t tell them they’ll be making $1000/month in 6 months, or that they can retire in 2 years. It’s probably not going to happen, and if you tell them that in order to get them into your business, you’ll be damaging them, which is not cool.
6. Don’t assume that because you like to do recruit one way that your new distributor will do the same. Every one is different, and if you can help them to discover what works for them you’ll be much better off in the long run. Just because you like to work online doesn’t mean they necessarily will – maybe they’ll be great at making cold calls or in their warm market. Keep an open mind!
Remember that your goal is to keep your new distributor around as long as possible. The quicker they’re able to be successful, the more likely they are to stick around. Every month they stay involved is a month closer to success for them (and you). Plus, it’s another month of income!
Hustler Cory Rudl !
February 14, 2009
Corey has had modest beginnings in 1994, selling his first online book-Car Secrets Exposed. He has an excellent knowledge of affiliate sales, Internet marketing, and automation of websites.
Corey Rudl has many derogatory statements and accusations against him and his products.
Corey initially sells you one of his products.
He then proceeds to coax you into buying another of his product to be able to use his first product to the maximum.
All though it’s standard practice with internet marketers, I still don’t like when I pay my good money for a marketing course, and the author is trying to sell me a whole bunch of stuff inside it. I wouldn’t mind so much if he didn’t make profit from the items he’s trying to sell me, but since it’s very clear that he is profiting,
I did feel let down after finishing the materials I received from Corey Rudle.
It would be like if you bought a dvd movie at full price and there were commercials in it. You bought the movie purely for entertainment or education, and you paid extra to have no commercials, but you got them anyway.
Another thing about Corey Rudle is that after filling out an online application to be screened as a possible student, that is, he would mentor me personally,. A great many questions were asked of me, because he states he is selective and only looking for the best.
I submitted my request for consideration. Within 2 weeks I was called by his recruiting company to see if I qualified to mentor with Cory, as the online application stated would be my privilege.
To be considered for an immediate spot ,there were only 2 left at the time, I had to answer a number of personal financial questions and have $8,000.00 available via credit card immediately.
In my questioning, I learn that I am not really going to be Cory’s personal student, but that I am going to be farmed off to one of his trained staff for mentoring.
Yes, I want to grow my business and yes, I use a mentor currently in my plan for business growth, but my personal mentor is the real deal. I talk to him and not his trainers. So, as you can imagine, I questioned what I had applied for, and how this now appeared to be a bait and switch for the $8,000.00. They also had the audacity to question my business strategy when they didn’t know me from Adam and had no history with me.
I was not happy and told the recruiter that I personally thought what they were doing was unethical and that my customers would call me on the carpet for such antics. Then, I find out that the training I would receive would make me one of Cory’s affiliates. No thanks. I don’t think he has the best of everything on the web and now I question his truth in advertising.
Anyway, the recruiter suggested I talk to someone else, who was more the kind of mentor she thought I might be seeking. She said he came from a different place and was that money was the outcome of his philosophy and not the gist of it.
I later received a canned email from Cory asking me to do a phone call interview/conference with him. I declined by not responding.
I don’t appreciate bait and switch tactics.
I think his marketing course has good information in it, but I suggest you shop around before you purchase. The course is priced at $200.00 and is good for beginners. His consulting is pricey at $1,500.00 an hour and his mentoring requires an $8000.00 down payment. I think you can do better.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2005 Corey Rudl passed away in a tragic car racing accident in California.
Corey Rudl was killed when the car he was racing, a Porsche Carrera GT left the track and slammed into a barrier car crashed and caught fire at the California Speedway.
The Secrets To Writing Web Copy Effectively
February 14, 2009
Simply stated, web copy is the copy that is used to sell anything on a web page. So now you say, but that’s sales copy. And you would be partly correct, but traditional direct mail copy and web copy are two different things. People are used to a certain way of expression on the web, and you must be able to tap into that to make your web copy effective.
Traditional direct mail copywriting is filled with hyperbole and exaggerations, and people are used to seeing that in direct mail. However, on the Net, it’s an entirely different ball game. People are used to a more relaxed style on the Internet and most won’t tolerate anything else. With that said, what should you do if you’re writing copy for the web? Write in a friendly, engaging style. Use the soft-sell approach with web copy. Make your copy more informational. People are more relaxed on the Internet. And they are more open to writing that is more relaxed, has a personal feel, and doesn’t scream of selling this or that.
People don’t want that type of message. So you have to write just like you are talking to the individual, but don’t make it sound sale. Use testimonials that have more of an editorial feel to them. And make sure that what you write engages the reader. Give them information that they didn’t have before coming to your web site. That’s what they were looking for to begin with. Since visitors to your web site can easily and quickly click away from your site, you have to give them the pertinent information up front. Do this so that your message is given quickly and concisely.
When writing this way, your sales message gets read and the prospect can take action from there. Does this mean that all web copy should be short? No! Web copy still needs to be as long as it needs to be to make the sale. But you just said to make your sales message up front. But people still need to rationalize their decision to perform the task you are asking them to do. That is done in the remaining part of your copy.
This is where you inject emotion and get the prospect to picture what their life will be like after completing your designated task. So you still need to use direct mail techniques, but you have to use them in a more information giving way. Never let your prospect suspect that you are really trying to sell him/her on your idea/product/service. Simply put, write like you would if you were writing a review of a book. But write it so that your prospect respects the information you have imparted and then clicks on your link to buy the book.
