While traditional law school courses are more likely to focus on large corporations and huge transactions, the Small Business Practice LLM will address topics such as renting commercial real estate at the mall, conducting small e-business on the Web, franchising a local car wash, using personal and family resources for financing, and succession planning for family businesses. It will also include a special focus on the principal business aspects of a running a small business law practice &#8212; operations, marketing, and technology &#8212; and the ethical issues faced by small business lawyers.
