I Can’t Write Articles – What Should I Do?

May 27, 2008

by Ginger Coleen

Building a business online means you need to provide fresh content for your site daily. Content is still King and it really is necessary. Fresh content articles pull potential customers to your website by providing new information regularly.

But, what are you to do if you don’t want to write or simply don’t know how?

First of all, if you just don’t like writing and you don’t want to hire someone to write for you, you can get a lot of free articles online. One place to look is at public domain articles. Copyright infringement is not an issue with public domain articles.

Public domain writings are simply expired copyrights. When a work is originally copyrighted, the copyright only lasts for a specified period of time. If the copyright isn’t extended, usually when an author dies, then it simply expires. Then the writing is placed in the public domain. These are articles or writings that were once published works and so the English and grammar should be very good. You may need to check copyright laws in the country in which you reside for more information.

The flipside of using public domain articles is that your competition may also be using them. But you should be able to verify this easily enough in the search engines. You may have to edit them a little in order to put your keywords and phrases in appropriately. Additionally, be sure that they pertain to your niche topic.

You can also let other websites with similar content submit articles and post them on your site. Many bloggers today do what is known as “utility posting” in which they post an intro to a post on another site and link to it. They are using content from other blogs to fill their content needs and linking to the other blog.

Now, you might be saying — wait a minute, I don’t want links to other sites on my site! Well, if that’s what you think, you’re a little behind the curve because that’s exactly what Web 2.0 is all about! Google knows this and is now serving up pages based primarily on their social popularity. Google weighs other parts of the site as well, but always remember that social populariaty is VERRRRY important!

So, start sharing as much as you can and forget about keeping all the links to yourself.

And, if you’re wondering where all this is going, well here’s the pot of gold and the real reason why I decided to write this article in the first place. Because of Web 2.0, there are now many article services gaining popularity that cater to this need. The one I belong to not only sends my “unique” articles to about 600 sites upon submission, but I also receive many unique articles each day as a subscriber. And, you can choose to only receive articles if you don’t want to write them.

It’s not expensive and well worth the small monthly fee for the number of links I’m seeing in Google on a daily basis. It’s absolutely the greatest method Im aware of to help share links and obtain unique content regularly. It’s very easy to post to all of my blog sites now. I choose how many articles to receive each day as well as the categories, and, I choose whether or not to put them on my blog. After all, not everyone can write good content! Cruddy writing gets deleted.

One more thing you should know — There are now many websites that offer Private Label Rights Articles that you can publish on your site. Many of them are free to join. Private label rights allow you to take credit for writing the articles. If you want, you can even rewrite all or part of them. In fact, that’s how I wrote this article. I’m pretty good at writing, but sometimes the ideas don’t come as quickly as I’d like. So, when I begin with a PLR work, the ideas start churning out and there’s no need to create all of the content myself. Although most of the time you would not recognize the original as the starting content, when I’m done!

Affiliate Marketing – 3 Strategies for Profiting Online

May 25, 2008

by Ginger Coleen

Affiliate marketers are always looking for a successful market that will provide ongoing profits. Affiliate marketing isn’t rocket science, but you do need to have a strategy. It takes proven marketing practices and perseverance.

Many tactics that worked before with online marketing continue to work today. With these top three affiliate marketing tips, you’ll increase your profits and shine in the affiliate marketing world.

Practice #1 – Use unique web pages to promote each product you’re offering. Don’t lump all your products onto the same page or website. Web hosting is not expensive today and it’s better to have one website focused on each product.

Always include product reviews on the website. In this manner, visitors will feel that you (or someone) has actually used the product and has an opinion about it.

Include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure the testimonial customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site. If you’re just starting out, you may be able to find testimonials on the product owner’s website.

You can also write articles highlighting the use of the product and include them on the website as additional pages. Make the pages attractive, compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the reader to encourage them to read more or even contact you. Highlight the special points of the product.

Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so they simply cannot be missed. You can also use these as autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect. So, it’s very important to have an autoresponder.

Practice #2 — One of two things happens when a potential customer visits your page: you will either sell your product or the prospect will leave and never return. By updating them with information to their email periodically, you’ll remind them of the product which they may have wanted to purchase at a later date. Make sure the message is directed toward specific reasons to buy your product and try not to make it sound like a sales pitch.

Always ensure that your prospects sign up for your autoresponder messages before they can download your free reports. Highlight important benefits like how your product can help their life become easier and more enjoyable. Use persuasive subject lines in your email messages. Avoid using the word “free” in your messages. Many spam filters will remove your messages before they ever reach your potential customers.

Practice #3 — Focus on targeting the traffic for your website to your product. If the person visiting your website has no interest whatsoever in what you’re offering, they may never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that are focusing on your target customers and what you write may just grab their interest.

Try to write at least 2 articles each week. Each article should contain about 300-600 words. By continuously uploading these articles you can generate about 100 targeted readers to your site in a day. In fact, if you click the links in the resource box below, you can learn how to generate thousands of backlinks with just a couple of articles. And remember, only about 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or service. So, if you can generate 1,000 targeted visits to your website daily, that means you can make 10 sales per day. When you realize you can make about $25 on average with a Clickbank product and then multiply your earnings by 30 days per month, you can make about $7,500 per month. Not bad for a little bit of tenacity and a few articles.

The practices I’ve outlined are not very difficult to do. They just require a little time and an action plan on your part.

Use these tips for more than one affiliate marketing programs. Create a niche of complimentary programs and you can provide yourself with a really good income. All you need is a plan and persistence. Just think of all the things you will be able to do with the huge income you will create!

Niche Affiliate Marketing – The Ticket to Profiting Online

May 24, 2008

by Ginger Coleen

When you finally make the decision to become an online marketer, you’re going to be bombarded with all sorts of terminology regarding different types of marketing. One of the most lucrative of those terms is Niche Affiliate Marketing.

Niche affiliate marketing is the best way to profit online and one of the quickest and easiest things to do. Let me give you a breakdown.

If you don’t already know what affiliate marketing is, well type that term into any search engine and you’ll find lots of answers. Affiliate marketing is simply selling somebody else’s products and getting paid for each sale. Some affiliate programs pay a fee for each click to their website from your link or banner.

Niche affiliate marketing is affiliate marketing while targeting a specific niche or target market. In other words, you might be interested in sports, but that’s a really broad niche. You would be better to consider a niche market a bit more specific like golf, or tennis.

When choosing a niche or target market, you need to find a happy medium. If you get into a very small niche, you might find there isn’t much to market. For example, if your niche were golf balls, rather than golf in general, you might be limiting your topics and affiliate choices.

It might be better to choose the entire golf niche. That way you can sell information about golf resorts, golf balls, golf shoes, and even target specific golfer products — like Tiger Woods products. By the way, it is, in fact, a very popular niche to be in but be careful, there is also a lot of competition.

When the Internet was new and we were just learning to market online, each one of us had to create everything from scratch. We had to figure out what the best keywords were, how to use them and then design and build a website, create the graphics, and find the traffic. Geez, traffic is a whole major niche of its own and I don’t mean the freeway kind!

A lot of things have changed since I started online. Today, you can buy packages for niche affiliate marketing that contain prewritten niche websites with everything included. All you need to do is FTP them up to a web host and market them.

Some of these packages contain articles and bonus materials to tempt your prospects into signing up for a list and purchasing your products. A word of caution however, be very careful when purchasing these packages.

The amazing thing to me is that you really don’t have to pay a lot for these niche affiliate marketing packages and some of them even include training to teach you how to promote them. Well, think about it — the marketer who created the package stands to grow from your efforts when you promote the package, so the training is in his or her best interest.

I highly recommend that when you’re starting out, it will help you a great deal to find a package that includes training. Some have very high price tags but those prices don’t really ensure you’re getting a quality product.

There’s a lot more competition today than there used to be and that has pushed the prices lower while still retaining a lot of quality.

So, find a good product that includes a web design you can put up quickly and good training to teach you how to bring traffic to the site. Then, if you like, you can build a small niche affiliate marketing empire around it.

Just do it once and repeat many times. And, over time, your profits will grow and grow. You get the picture!
