(Article Marketing) Harley fumes over article – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
March 31, 2009
The advertisement, published in the Sunday edition of the Times, came a week after freelancer Susanna Hamner wrote an article saying that Harley’s core customers have gotten older and are buying new bikes less often. Few are in the mood to shell out up to $20,000 or more for something that is basically a big toy, and the company, in turn, has not captured much of the younger market," Hamner wrote. Harley dealers expect about a 10% drop in new motorcycle sales this year, although it could be closer to 23%, according to Baird analyst Craig Kennison. But company executives don’t seem outwardly worried by the lackluster growth among those 35 and younger, even as the company takes steps to turn them into Harley owners, the article noted. Hamner and her editors declined to comment on the article, which quoted Harley CEO Jim Ziemer and other company executives. Sometimes a guy's just gotta Twitter – Examiner.com- Article Marketing
March 27, 2009
We again talk with Social Marketing Expert, Rick Rochon , about Twitter and how small business owners can use it to promote their business. Providing a small business owner with another avenue ( Facebook & LinkedIn being other options) to build relationships with customers and clients via a platform that allows you to target them, for them to chose to let you into their lives, and doing so in a free manner. Unlike Facebrook and LinkedIn, where the participants have been traditionally one group (college students growing into everyone, or business people) Twitter seems to have, from conception, been targeted to and attracts, nearly everyone across the board. Rick explains, "I would create a Facebook page, I would use Facebook ad campaigns, I would get on Twitter, create a profile, and then I would let people know that I’m on Twitter, sign up to follow me, and then you’ll know when we’re having specials or special events. Rick relayed a story that points not just to the quickness of a Twitter world, but one where customer service can work to the business’s advantage, as well as to a general customer service advantage, that can benefit your customer. read more

(E-Business) Disaster Preparedness And Wireless Service: Is Your Small Business … – North American Press Syndicate
March 26, 2009
From anywhere within the Mobile Broadband footprint, business owners and employees can continue to conduct business, including accessing e-mail and information housed on a secure company server, by using a PC card, a laptop with built-in capability for high-speed wireless connectivity, a USB modem or a phone that can be used as a high-speed modem. Whether the business uses POP3 e-mail accounts or a corporate server, the ability to send and receive e-mail on a mobile phone when away from computers can help communicate a disaster plan to employees or stay in touch with customers. No matter the size of their organization, business owners should discuss disaster preparedness with their wireless provider to ensure reliable wireless coverage in and around the location of the business, in addition to products and applications. Also, it’s important to choose a wireless carrier that plans ahead and invests to maintain its wireless network year-round, so in the event of a disaster, the carrier can provide customers with the necessary connectivity. read more

Topic: E-Business – Stimulus Funds for E-Records Augur Big Windfall for Small Health Firms – Wall Street Journal
March 24, 2009
A federally funded survey published last year found that only 13% of practicing doctors used a basic EHR system, and only 4% used what the authors called a “fully functional” system. GE has been in the health-equipment business for decades, but it didn’t start selling EHR systems to doctors until 2002, when it bought a system from another vendor. But the labor-intensive aspects of adopting and maintaining electronic systems in doctors’ offices can give smaller technology companies an opening to compete against big corporations, says Eric Brown, an analyst at Forrester Research Inc. Allscripts is using its business selling billing software to doctors as a jumping off point, selling EHR systems to its existing customers. read more

How To Use Article Marketing To Increase Link Popularity – ???????????
March 23, 2009
There are a lot of great places online to submit your articles to, and in return they can generate a lot of traffic for your web site, but if the search engines see the same article all over the web, they’ll simply ignore all but the first one they found. Fortunately, there’s some very effective tools and software available that can do most of the work for you – but there’s also some rubbish out there that simply doesn’t work. Two particular applications that I’ve recently discovered are able to satisfy both our criteria for new wave article marketing submission software – that is to submit a unique version article to an extensive list of search engine friendly article directories. Both of these tools work exceptionally well, and work in a very similar way, and when used together can have a truly explosive effect on your search engine marketing and traffic Each system submits to a completely separate list of quality article sites, so there’s no overlap when you use them both. read more
