(E-Business) E-mail etiquette: A matter of survival – Economic Times

May 31, 2008

That’s probably not much of a surprise to most office workers today, who have seen e-mail usurp meetings and face-to-face conversations as a primary form of communication. What may be less obvious, however, is just how important e-mail is to your reputation. It’s no longer enough simply to avoid common e-mail blunders such as using all capital letters, failing to proofread your messages, or sending off a message in anger. The idea of using social networking to drive marketing efforts is increasingly being appropriated by corporate giants like Starbucks. The idea of using social networking to drive marketing efforts is increasingly being appropriated by corporate giants like Starbucks . SMBs also tend to be less concerned about spin control than their larger counterparts, and there’s really no place for spin in social networking. As I’ve written before, SMBs are showing more interest in creating a presence on Facebook and other interactive marketing efforts. read more

NHS North West to seek help with social marketing briefs – How Do- About: Article Marketing

May 28, 2008

The NHS in the North West is looking to source suppliers that can help its various regional trusts and associated public bodies get to grips with exploiting the huge potential of social marketing channels. The rise of the social marketing medium, and its widening grip on the UK (and regional) population, clearly hasn’t been lost on the NHS, with the result that the NHS North West Collaborative Procurement Hub has now set about initiating a tender process to recruit expert help. Such an interesting and challenging public sector brief – at a time when several industry sources have reported of a ‘drying up’ of private sector funds – will undoubtedly pique the interest of a host of agency protagonists in the region. The North West’s media folk who wield the greatest combination of influence, power and employment , primarily in the region but also, in many cases, well beyond. read more

Learning from the Wealthiest Man Who Ever Lived

May 27, 2008

by Bobby Keating

King Solomon was acclaimed as the wisest and the wealthiest man to have ever lived. These are two characteristics (wisdom and wealth) that we all learn about this ruler of Israel, the son of King David.

You have the same ability to accomplish your dreams simply by learning the keys to King Solomon’s success? What could you accomplish by learning how to apply these keys to your life? These Keys to Success, written by King Solomon in The Proverbs and in The Book of Ecclesiastes, will help you become successful in every area of your life. Thousands of millionaires attribute their success to their study of King Solomon’s Proverbs.

Hundreds of preachers and life coaches preach and teach that you ‘can’ be successful and prosper but there are few who actually teach the ‘how to’ part. They will quote scripture after scripture that tell you that you can be successful. However, no one tells you how to become successful — the practical application of these success principles as they apply to your life.

We’re need to study the Biblical ‘how to’ book and use it (apply it) to everyday life. If you follow these keys, read carefully, you will succeed at whatever you try. You will become healthy, wealthy and wise.

It does not matter if you are a graduate of a University or barely scraped by the GED test. It doesn’t matter whether you have $20,000.00 dollars to invest or you have $0.20 to invest. All that matters is that you believe that God wants for you to succeed and, if you stick to the program, you will.

Because we are physical and spiritual beings, we experience the laws that govern our physical nature and the laws that govern our spiritual nature. The One who created this physical world placed into effect the physical laws, those laws that govern the physical world. He also created the laws that govern the spiritual aspect of our existence. These spiritual laws are more powerful that the physical laws because they also affect the physical world in which we live.

Take for example the airplane. The aeronautical engineers and designers know and adhere to the dynamic physical laws that govern flight. They understand these laws and strictly observe them. The pilots of these aircraft know and adhere as well to these governing physical laws. If they did not, the flight would be a very short one and possibly a deadly one. The physical laws that govern this world must be stringently enforced and observed daily.

Wise ole King Solomon discovered that there are also ‘living laws’ or ‘laws of living’ that govern our lives on a daily basis. He informs us that they must be followed stringently because they are strictly enforced, just as the physical laws. Your belief or disbelief of the physical laws that govern the universe does not change the fact that they exist. Should we can choose to ignore them we will definitely suffer the drastic consequences. It does not matter whether we believe or disbelieve the ‘living laws’ that govern our daily lives, they exist and are enforced. We can ignore them but, again, the consequences are dramatic.

If you feel that there is nothing more that you can, would, could or should do, you do not need to continue reading. If you want to be successful in life through the guidance and tutelage of the Master of the Universe, and you feel that, by enhancing your understanding of God, your relationship with Him will deepen, continue reading. Wisdom is supreme and, no matter what the cost, we must seek understanding. When we delight in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts. This does not mean the greedy materialistic desires. This means the true and sincere desires. Through this study, we’re going to seek first the Kingdom of Heaven because we know (Jesus told us) that everything else will be added to us.

You must study the Wisdom of God to be qualified as a ‘Good Steward’ of God’s property. As you progress in your study, you will become a good steward of great wealth. Applying Solomon’s Principles of Success, found in the Book of Proverbs, will help you to attain an even greater level of success.

There must be incorporate a warning here as well. If you study these laws and ignore them, you will be setting yourself up for disaster. It is better that you make a commitment now to develop the attitude of success and stick to it. You will succeed. God has given you the wisdom through His Holy Bible to succeed.

I Can’t Write Articles – What Should I Do?

May 27, 2008

by Ginger Coleen

Building a business online means you need to provide fresh content for your site daily. Content is still King and it really is necessary. Fresh content articles pull potential customers to your website by providing new information regularly.

But, what are you to do if you don’t want to write or simply don’t know how?

First of all, if you just don’t like writing and you don’t want to hire someone to write for you, you can get a lot of free articles online. One place to look is at public domain articles. Copyright infringement is not an issue with public domain articles.

Public domain writings are simply expired copyrights. When a work is originally copyrighted, the copyright only lasts for a specified period of time. If the copyright isn’t extended, usually when an author dies, then it simply expires. Then the writing is placed in the public domain. These are articles or writings that were once published works and so the English and grammar should be very good. You may need to check copyright laws in the country in which you reside for more information.

The flipside of using public domain articles is that your competition may also be using them. But you should be able to verify this easily enough in the search engines. You may have to edit them a little in order to put your keywords and phrases in appropriately. Additionally, be sure that they pertain to your niche topic.

You can also let other websites with similar content submit articles and post them on your site. Many bloggers today do what is known as “utility posting” in which they post an intro to a post on another site and link to it. They are using content from other blogs to fill their content needs and linking to the other blog.

Now, you might be saying — wait a minute, I don’t want links to other sites on my site! Well, if that’s what you think, you’re a little behind the curve because that’s exactly what Web 2.0 is all about! Google knows this and is now serving up pages based primarily on their social popularity. Google weighs other parts of the site as well, but always remember that social populariaty is VERRRRY important!

So, start sharing as much as you can and forget about keeping all the links to yourself.

And, if you’re wondering where all this is going, well here’s the pot of gold and the real reason why I decided to write this article in the first place. Because of Web 2.0, there are now many article services gaining popularity that cater to this need. The one I belong to not only sends my “unique” articles to about 600 sites upon submission, but I also receive many unique articles each day as a subscriber. And, you can choose to only receive articles if you don’t want to write them.

It’s not expensive and well worth the small monthly fee for the number of links I’m seeing in Google on a daily basis. It’s absolutely the greatest method Im aware of to help share links and obtain unique content regularly. It’s very easy to post to all of my blog sites now. I choose how many articles to receive each day as well as the categories, and, I choose whether or not to put them on my blog. After all, not everyone can write good content! Cruddy writing gets deleted.

One more thing you should know — There are now many websites that offer Private Label Rights Articles that you can publish on your site. Many of them are free to join. Private label rights allow you to take credit for writing the articles. If you want, you can even rewrite all or part of them. In fact, that’s how I wrote this article. I’m pretty good at writing, but sometimes the ideas don’t come as quickly as I’d like. So, when I begin with a PLR work, the ideas start churning out and there’s no need to create all of the content myself. Although most of the time you would not recognize the original as the starting content, when I’m done!

Blogging Advice For New Bloggers

May 27, 2008

by Tony P

When I was young, I would write my private thoughts onto my diary and lock it away in a safe place.

Even then, there was much I would not write there for fear that someone would find it. Today, there are many that share those same personal thoughts with the entire world through a blog.

The blog is online and anyone can read it. But before you begin blogging, read the below advise.

Mistakes are common in blogging and you should know the rules with some proper advise.

Do not think that no one is reading your blog, so be careful of what you write.

The thing is that what you put on the blog can be personal and you may not want others to know.

Think twice before you blog. You may not want to share your wild nights with everyone if you are a public figure.

People often search the internet to find out about the people they are hiring. What you write on the blog can make or break your job application.

If you have children, you may want to check what kind of blog they are surfing. You can either tell them that they cannot blog or that they require your approval of what they are blogging.

This is because they often blog about obvious thing which can be dangerous if too much privacy are revealed.

Keep your personal info out of the blog.

Be sure to know what your kid talk about. This may be the most important advice for you.

Get Better Website Rankings With SEO Blogging

May 27, 2008

by Russell G. Stuart

It’s catch 22 – you have to be listed high in the search engine results to get more web traffic and to get listed high in the results, you have to attract lots of web traffic. Regrettably, rich content is no longer the only valuable resource sought by web visitors.

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the reason why a website gets a good ranking on web searches. Making a website SEO-based can be anything from legal to borderline illegitimate, depending on what techniques you use.

Some of these optimisation methods include writing keyword-rich web content, articl submission and link exchanging. These were the most practiced SEO techniques until some wise soul came up with the idea that blogging can be a valuable SEO tool. It has become a phenomena since then.

A blog, or a web log, can be maintained for professional or personal purposes. It is quite an enjoyable task, and you will have complete freedom as far as what you want to say is concerned. You can have a blog within your site, or outside it.

Since your blog is your own, you can include links to your site in each and every post. If your blog is within your site, this is a great way of incorporating links that will boost your search engine ranking. If it is outside your site, this is an excellent way of getting one way links.

Reciprocal, or exchanged links, are capable of boosting your site up on the search engines, but one-way links are invaluable for this purpose. Blogging can build traffic in two ways – people will follow these links directly from your blog, and they will make sure that your site figures prominently in searches.

Your blog must be informative and rich in keyword-based content to make a good hit when it first starts off. Having your blog within the site increases its chances of getting hits for keywords. Because blog posts are different from the ordinary article format, it might be harder to put in keywords in your posts, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll breeze through easily.

Another good aspect of maintaining a blog include the incoming suggestions. Your blog visitors will let you know where your shortfalls are and you can improve your blog accordingly. It’s also a good way to build up a contacts list, something that comes in handy for your business.

The Fastest, Cheapest, Simplest Profitable Home Based Business

May 26, 2008

by Gene Higginbotham

The perfect Home Based Business will:

1. It must provide a very good full time income

2. Be very inexpensive to start up

3. Have a very short learning curve to get up and going

4. It should require very little interfacing with people outside the home

5. I shouldn’t have to bug my family and friends to “JOIN ME”

6. I should be showing a good profit within 6 months

7. The income should be recurring and continual

I have not found many Home Based Businesses that provide these benefits? My Real Estate Investment activities produced a fortune but was people intensive. My traditional MLM/Network Marketing efforts were disastrous; after failing ten times and losing about $10,000, I threw in the towel. I expect that MLM utilizing the INTERNET might be a completely different story.

I found the answer in Internet Affiliate Marketing of information products. We live in the information age. People crave more and more information and the place to get it is on the INTERNET. There are hundreds of thousands of information products available on the INTERNET and most of them are available via companies that offer good commissions for affiliates who help sell these products.

Send a blank email to me at WEALTHY AFFILIATE and I will send you a list of the top affiliate companies in the US.

Many information products address subjects you are interested in. Choose one or several and become an affiliate for them. Then promote these products as an affiliate and sales will occur. When this happens you earn commissions which can be 20%-75%. On a $100 product, you could earn $20-$75.

Promoting affiliate products on the INTERNET is not that hard to do. Lots of eBooks on the INTERNET lay out various successful techniques for doing it. When you apply these techniques with consistence and persistence you will have a successful Home Based Internet Business. There are lots of people making $3,000, $5,000, $10,000 and more each month promoting affiliate products over the INTERNET. The secret is a repeatable system applied with consistence and persistence.
