Topic: E-Business - Review: Samsung Ace dual-mode business smartphone - infoSync World

The Samsung Ace on Sprint bears a strong family resemblance to the BlackJack phones on AT&T. The Samsung Ace, as a Windows Mobile phones, features a robust calendar app, with some of the most fully-featured scheduling in the business. For multimedia services, Sprint goes about halfway, maybe less, giving the phone access to Sprint TV, but not the Sprint Music store, which is unfortunate, or the more rarified Sprint Movie store. By wisely opting to use the Windows Mobile program “Internet Sharing” instead of the buggy Sprint Connection Manager software, the Samsung Ace becomes one of the easiest tethered modems to setup and use. read more

Nigeria: E-Business And the New Economy - AllAfrica.com
February 24, 2008 by Tony · Leave a Comment
Unfortunately many, including policy makers, aren’t aware of the linkage between ICT and productivity - how ICT can make individuals and organizations more productive. Lack of education and understanding of e-business are in fact the greatest barriers to be overcome if a country must participate meaningfully in the knowledge economy and engage successfully in e-business. Is ICT and e-business regarded as a priority by the vast majority in the rural areas, the unemployed and the small businesses that dominate the private sector landscape or is demand only from the "usual suspects" - the large corporate organizations, working professionals and the urban rich? It is about closing societal gaps and divides - gender, digital, rural / urban, poor / rich, formal / informal sector, first world / third world, etc. There are challenges but it is your level of awareness, quality of skills and most importantly your thinking that will determine the quality of response to the challenges of the knowledge-based economy. In Nigeria, in addition to addressing the low level of e-business awareness, there is a need to encourage the massive development and growth of education and training in e-business and ICT. read more

While customer relationship management continues to play an important role in maintaining loyal customers, the need for CRM software solutions like marketing automation software is especially critical in helping a company to stand out from its competition, wrote TMCnet’s Stefania Viscusi this week. Finally, let’s take a moment and think about how hard it is to maintain quality when you are relying on overseas call centers for your customer service. read more
